So Mother Nature put a huge wrench in this year's Halloween plans. At trick-or-treat time, it was 32 degrees (with a feels like temp of 20). The winds were 20+ mph and it was rainy and snowing.
Despite the horrible, no good, very bad weather, the girls were determined to trick or treat. And that they did!!
Because of the weather, the girls were not able to wear the costumes they picked out this year. Quinn was going to go out with a group of friends - each dressing as a different character from Phineas & Ferb. Sullivan was going to be an ice cream server. Anywho... they both ditched those costumes and pulled out warm onesies from the back of their closets.
Despite the costume changes, they both were super cute!
Quinn and her friends... in original costumes before resorting to warmth.
Same friends, just warmer this time...
I took Sullivan and her friend, Maddy, around the neighborhood.
I have to give it to those girls. They were determined to stay out the entire two hours, even with the blowing, cold snow and rain.
The best part of the whole night for both my kids?!
Organizing the candy they got, then bagging it up and hiding it from their dad!
All in all, they had a great night. Another Halloween for the books. Just one small favor, Mother Nature.... no cold weather next year!
