I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble. ~ Helen Keller

A Future Tumbler...
Sullivan and her friend did a trial class last night at a cheer and tumbling gym in town. Can you spot our little miss Sulla Grace? (In the middle of the picture in the orange top.)
They both loved the class and want to go back for more. It looks like we have a gymnast-turned-tumbler in the family now!

Keeping the Traditions Alive
It was (and has always been) a tradition of the girls' that after a good report at the dentist, we stop for McDonald's French fries. I know... they get a good report and then eat fast food junk?! Yep. I don't know how or why it started, but it did.
So in true form, the girls went to the dentist today. No cavities for either one. Both girls' teeth looked fabulous. So we kept the tradition alive...
Neither one has ever had a cavity... so here's to another 6 months of great teeth!

All Is Well...
We've all heard the old expression, "All is well in the world." Nothing best reflects that old adage then when Ryan is outside in his yard.
Ryan has had the itch for quite some time, but finally made it to his happy place yesterday afternoon and mowed the yard. It might be the earliest that he has ever mowed his grass and he was (not shockingly) the first to mow in our neighborhood. He held that distinct honor back in Indiana and wanted to make certain that honor was bestowed upon him here in North Carolina too!
Here's to many more days in the yard, doing what he loves most!

Low Key Weekend...
This weekend the weather was crumby and it was a perfect weekend to stay indoors. Sulla went to a birthday party for her dear friend. But before the party, Sullivan and Fabi had to get their nails done.
Quinn and I took Tessa to get a vaccine at a walk-in clinic. Don't let this adorable picture fool you. Tessa was not a great patient at all. She cried and whined the entire time. Quinn did not.
We rounded out the weekend with some new haircuts. You wouldn't be able to tell with Sulla. She just got a trim. The smallest amount she could to still qualify as a haircut.
Quinn on the other hand, got much more taken off.
It was much more than she asked for or hoped for, but it is still darling and looks great on Q!
With that, the weekend is a wrap!

Upon Further Examination...
Some pictures on the surface look "normal', until you look a little closer. For example, this just looks like me returning home and pulling into the driveway.
Upon further examination, that is me in the passenger's seat and QUINN in the driver's seat. What a strange feeling to have your child drive you around!
Look at this picture. At first glance, it appears to be a picture of Sullivan and Quinn on a recent shopping trip with me.
Upon further examination, they were posing in front of the most junk filled, cluttered car we had ever seen. The girls just couldn't believe how full the car was with junk.
And finally, look at this picture. I was sitting in the carpool lane at Sullivan's school today when I took this picture.
Upon further examination of the picture, you can see a little creepy crawly object. That little object that ran in front of my car was an opossum. Yuck!

Puppy Love...
It's been a minute since the littlest Pooley got some attention on here... she may or may not have some people that love her!
Tessa's absolutely favorite thing to do is to ride in the car. She goes every morning when I take Q and S to school or bus stop. She doesn't love when Q and S steal the front seat, because that is HER spot. On this occasion, she wasn't afraid to try and steal it back.

Boiler Up...
It isn't everyday that Purdue makes its way to North Carolina to play baseball, but last weekend it happened. They were in town playing Princeton of all teams. You might be asking why a college from New Jersey was playing a college from Indiana?! I wish I knew, but we weren't complaining.
Not only were they in North Carolina, they were actually playing at the baseball field in our small suburb. Literally 5 minutes down the road. It goes without saying that we took in the Purdue baseball game and rooted on the Boilermakers.
