Tessa doesn't know her own size.
I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble. ~ Helen Keller

Irony...
On Sunday, we celebrated our favorite male in the house for Father's Day. He might be the only male, but that doesn't change the fact that he's our favorite! Quinn wasn't here to help celebrate, so Tessa was our stand-in substitute to ensure Ryan got 100% love and adoration that day.
Ryan got to do all the things he loves to do - exercising, being outside, playing in the yard. The night ended as it typically does on Father's Day around here- by him grilling out. I always find that ironic. It should be a day of rest and relaxation, yet he is out there sweating away and working hard to provide the most delicious meal!
We appreciate Ryan so much - not only for the amazing meal, but for all he does for us every day. The million things that he does for us on the daily often goes without mention, but it doesn't go unnoticed. He is loved beyond measure and more than he knows!

Forty-Four...
Yesterday was a great birthday for me. We missed Quinn in the celebrations (since she is still up in Michigan for camp), but I was treated like a queen by Sullivan and Ryan.
I failed to get many pictures, but they took me out to lunch and dinner so that no one had to cook! Birthday dessert was from Crumble, since they were serving their Rice Krispie treat this week. Yum!

Deja Vu - Last Day...
Today marked the last day of 8th grade and the last day in middle school for Sullivan....
That means she is officially a high schooler. How in the world!?! It was yesterday that she was entering kindergarten in Indiana and in a flash she has grown up and is now in high school.
Eighth grade has proven to be Sullivan's year. She had great teachers that inspired and encouraged her. She developed some pretty great new friendships and strengthened already established friendships with a group of friends that are truly remarkable. She stepped outside her comfort zone and joined the cheerleading team and found a new love and passion. Middle school was great for her, and I have no doubt high school will be the same!
Here is Sullivan's first day vs. last day picture....
