What an Honor...

We attended Quinn's National Honor Society Cording Ceremony this past week.

National Honor Society recognizes students based on their service, scholarship, leadership, and character.  We couldn't be more proud of Quinn for displaying all those qualities and dedicated countless hours to service projects and volunteer opportunities throughout her time in high school.

The cords that she received will be worn at graduation with her cap and gown.

Paul was also recognized at the ceremony... love how they coordinated their outfits for the occasion!

Congrats to Quinn for all her hard work and dedication to a wonderful organization.  This was a well deserved recognition!

Short (But More Than Sweet) Weekend...

I was able to go back to South Dakota this past weekend for quick getaway to celebrate the wedding of my cousin, Michael, and his new bride, Morgan.

The wedding was beautiful itself, but spending time with family that we don't get to see often enough, was even sweeter.

All of my cousins (minus T who couldn't attend)...

It had been 7 years since we had all been together, so it was GREAT to catch up.

My mom and all her brothers...

Love this pic...

The littles enjoyed dancing on the dance floor...

The bigs did not enjoy dancing, but who can blame them?!

Aside form the wedding itself, I enjoy soaking in other moments with the Kempers. I got to attend Elsa's band concert with some of the fam....

Elsa plays the French horn, and is circled in this pic...

The band did an amazing job showing off their skills!

The following day, I got to go to school and see Elsa's animal project on rattlesnakes.  She did a great job on her poster, and an even better job on her speech.

I was so thankful that I was able to attend this event while I was back.

These two showed up with matching verses on their shirts, unintentionally....

I also got to spend some time with the newest member on the family...

She is the sweetest, happiest baby there is.

I also got to sneak in a great pizza dinner with these two...

Loved seeing Ryan's parents and catching up with them.  The time was short, but the conversation and company was amazing (and so was the pizza)!

And with that, my short trip back to SD was over.  It was just what my soul needed to recharge and plug through these next couple weeks of school.

Holy Moly, Yet Again...

Sullivan has a new obsession.... ear piercing.  She asked for her third piercings for her birthday, and she cashed in on that this week.

She now has 6 holes in her head to manage and take care of. Hopefully, just hopefully, she is done putting holes in her head for awhile!

Senior Sunday, Part 38

Then

June 2014

This is a bucket of hail that Q and S collected after a tornado warning and severe storm in SD, just days before we moved to Indiana. The girls were staying with Mer and Matt, who unfortunate for them, had to deal with two scared and nervous little girls!

Prom 2024...

Quinn looked radiant, as she always does, for prom this year...

Her date didn't look half bad either....

The dress was stunning, the bouquet was beautiful, the couple looked dapper together.

Beautiful pics... great candid moments and fun poses.

Quinn and Paul went to prom with Quinn's best friend, Krystal and her sister, Lani.  The four of them looked great.

They had an amazing time at prom, but probably had more fun afterwards.  All dressed up to the nines, they all went bowling in their dresses and suit.  Fun times!

I am so thankful that Quinn had a great time at prom.  With this chapter closed, graduation is now on the horizon.

A Little of This...

Here is a little of this... and a little of that from our life lately.

Sullivan has been busy clocking driving hours in the car.  She doesn't love to have her picture taken though, but I can attest that she was at a stop when I took the picture.

She might not like having her picture taken, but she is always a good sport.

A good sport that has turned out to be a good driver!

Quinn had her senior breakfast and senior assembly this week which coincided with College Commit Day.  They were asked to wear their college's colors.

They all gathered together to rehearse graduation, sign the senior mural and make sure names were pronounced correctly for graduation.   Quinn's middle name threw them for a loop.  Hopefully they fix that for the big day!

Can you spot Quinn's name on the mural?

Here is a closer look...

Ryan and I joined some friends awhile back for a backyard hibachi party. The weather was perfect, the food was amazing, and the company was even better...

And finally...I've been busy on a little project around the house.  I painted the walls of the mudroom, followed by the boot bench, and finally hung some wallpaper.

Next up, some art for the walls, but I swear that is sometimes the hardest part.
