Party, Party...

In case you didn't know, this past weekend was the weekend to party!  We filled ourselves with as much action and partying as one family could handle.

We started off with Quinn's friend party on Saturday afternoon.  In true creative fashion, Quinn chose to go to The Cookie Jar - a local bakery here in town.  The girls decorated sugar cookies, sampled plenty of frosting, ate pizza, and played games.

After her own party, Quinn went to a friend's birthday party on Saturday night and had her very first sleepover!  She was so incredibly nervous about the sleepover and almost tried to back out of it.  But with a small pep talk and words of encouragement, off she went!  She ended up having a ball and the very first sleepover?!  A HUGE success!!

The next day, it was Sullivan Grace's turn to entertain her friends at her birthday party.  She chose to go to All American Gymnastics Center.  The kids from her preschool class, along with our dear neighbors and Quinn, equaled 15 energetic and excited little ones bouncing around.

The swings were a HUGE success...

As a party favor, each of Sullivan's friends got to "adopt" a puppy to take home with them.

And every puppy needs its supplies... dog food, dog treats, and dog vitamins.

Cocoa Puffs

Scooby Snack Crackers

Jelly Beans

A truly special weekend celebrating my truly special babies!  What more could you ask for!?

Easter 2014

What Easter would be complete without an Easter egg hunt (or two!)?!  The Easter Bunny made his appearance, not only at our house, but at Auntie Mer and Uncle Matt's house too.

Before the hunt was under way at Auntie and Uncle's, we had to get a cousin picture... unfortunately sweet Elsa Girl was taking a nap.

After Elsa woke up, we got a girls only picture too.

After posed pictures, we were off to find the hidden eggs.  Boy oh boy, were there eggs to be found.

The whole gang got into finding eggs - adults included.
And on a side note, there were more adults hunting eggs than children!!

Here are all the kiddos showing off there Easter outfits.  Too stinkin' cute!!

Talk about too stinkin' cute - this picture was too cute to pass up.

After the wonderfully fun hunt at Auntie and Uncle's, we headed home to find our own baskets and eggs at our house.

The Easter Bunny was WAY too good to us this year.  Lucky little girls...!

1859 - Work began on the Suez Canal in Egypt
1898 - The U.S. declared war on Spain. Spain had declared was on the U.S. the day before.
1901 - New York became the first state to require license plates for cars.  The fee was $1.
1928 - A seeing eye dog was used for the first time
1950 - Chuck Cooper became the 1st black person to play in the NBA
1953 - Scientists identified DNA
1971 - The country of Bangladesh was established

But the most important event in history that occurred on April 25th?!!?

2006 - Quinn McKenna was born!!!  She was born in Nashville, Tennessee at 2:03 in the afternoon.  Everything about her was absolutely perfect!

2014 - Quinn turned 8 years old today!  She is growing up so incredibly fast and turning into an incredibly sweet and mature person.  It both makes me proud and simultaneously sad to see her growing so fast!

Happy 8th Birthday, Baby Girl!  We love you!

Officially 5 and Unofficially 8

To make a busy weekend even busier, we celebrated the girls’ birthdays with our families on Good Friday.  It was a great time for us all to be together and celebrate each other’s company.

The girls with their cakes… I sadly didn't make their cakes this year like in year’s past.  I just wasn't sure if our house would still be on the market and didn't want to hassle with showings and such.  But, I don’t think the girls seemed to mind too much that they had to eat ice cream cake and cookie cake!

Blowing out the candles...

The girls opened great presents from everyone with the help of their dearest, sweetest cousins.

Sweet Elsa Girl didn't help unwrap presents, but she sure did look cute!

Truly spoiled – not just by the presents given but by love!
It was so great to have all of our families there!

Happy Birthday, Sulla Grace and Quinn McKenna!

GiGi Visits...

We were excited when we found out that GiGi would be visiting us over Easter.  It has been awhile since we have seen here and we have truly missed her.

Quinn and Sullivan were ecstatic when again GiGi asked to let the girls spend the night in the hotel with her.  The girls look forward to their time with her and thoroughly enjoy swimming in the pool and going out to eat.

Ryan was the designated person to take the girls swimming.  Us ladies did the watching!

The girls have gotten quite adventurous in the pool and it is quite evident that Sullivan doesn't even have an ounce of fear in the pool.  I guess that’s okay because her fear must have been transferred over to me – it makes me incredibly nervous to see her and Quinn so carefree in the water!

After swimming – who doesn't like to sport a turban?!

Good times had by all!
