A Quick Trip to Disney...

Quinn's spring break didn't align with Sullivan's this year, but we still wanted to do a little something to celebrate Quinn's time off.  We thought about Savannah or Charleston, but ultimately left it up to Quinn to decide.  In the end, fun won out over old, historic charm.

Because Sullivan was still in school, we only planned to stay for 3 days.  One day in each park (minus Animal Kingdom, because... it's Animal Kingdom).

Day 1 - Magic Kingdom

I must admit that we have gotten quite good at our timing and planning for Disney.  We know the bus system pretty well and know how to time our mornings to take advantage of the early entry access to the parks.  Day 1 at Magic Kingdom had us 1st in line at the gates.

Once we were allowed into the parks, we hustled down main street to get in line for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train and a few other rides before the park officially opened to other guests.

The brave crew (everyone minus me!) rode Tron in the morning and again later in the day...

We took a pit stop from rides to capture some pictures near the castle (from nearly every angle).

The People Mover - one of our all time favorite rides.  We rode it a few times, because we could!

Space Mountain was shut down while we went through the People Mover... always interesting to see what the roller coaster looks like in the light...

Some other ride  and miscellaneous pictures...

The infamous picture as you walk into Magic Kingdom...

We have never done the train in Magic Kingdom in all the times that we have been there.  We decided to give it a try this time to do something different.  Needless to say, there is a reason we have never done it before...

The late night Tea Cups and some fireworks...

A perfect start to the vacation (if you can call Disney a vacation!).  Stay tuned for Day 2 in Epcot!

Stunt 2026

Sullivan tried out for the Stunt team again this year, after taking a year off last year.  Results were posted and... she made the team!!!!

Practice has started and it has been quite the adventure.  Finding their groove as a team has come with some bumps and bruises and scrapes.  But they are figuring it out!

Here are a few pictures from their matches...

Her team picture and individual picture too....

Life Lately...

Life has a funny way of getting away from us and documenting it has not been my strong suit.  But here are a few highlights of the past couple months for the sake of remembering...

Top Golf with the Fam...

Ryan and I attended a Jason Isbell concert and I became a new fan of his...

We survived a couple of (back-to-back) snow storms around here where school was called off for what seemed like a century...

Valentine's Day consisted of the most beautiful flowers, the sweetest of treats and a date with Ryan to an NC State basketball game.  A great way to spend the day!

It is my hope to do a little better at documenting life's happenings this spring.  Fingers crossed!
