All Decisions Are In...

We heard from the last two colleges on Quinn's list this weekend. While she found out she was waitlisted at UNC Chapel Hill, she was admitted and accepted at NC State!

Quinn was obviously disappointed by being waitlisted at UNC, but it did not overshadow the joy of being accepted at an equally amazing school, NC State.  

No final decisions have been made and there are lots of things to consider, but we might, just might, have a future Wolfpack in the house!

Quinn has everything in the world to be proud of - getting 6 "yeses" and 1 "maybe" from some pretty amazing universities is pretty darn impressive.

3, 4 and 5…

Quinn has managed to keep the streak alive.  College three, four and five responded to her recently, and all three were a ‘yes’.

Purdue University 

Purdue accepted Quinn into the College of Pharmacy which is a huge honor to say the least. 

Time will tell (sooner rather than later) where Quinn will end up next fall. Will she be a Boilermaker, a Seahawk, or a Forty Niner? Perhaps yes, perhaps maybe not. 

Don’t think the irony is lost on me that two of these pictures were taken with a rival university sweatshirt on!! Is that telling? Or coincidence? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Holy Moly...

Sulla Grace decided to go and put a couple of new holes in her head last week...

She has wanted a double piercing for some time now, and was gifted the opportunity as a Christmas present.  

She said it didn't hurt a bit and is already plotting and scheming for her next set of holes in her ears.  Time will tell if a new addiction is forming.

One Last College Visit...

Despite having already applied to NC State, we took an official tour today.  

Decision day comes out in a couple weeks, but Quinn wanted to check out the campus and see what she thought of it.  It got the nod of approval from Quinn, as well as all the rest of us.  So that begs the question...Do we have a future Wolfpack?!  I guess time will tell.

I *think* this tour concludes our college visits, at least for a couple of years until Sullivan starts to look!

Odds 'n Ends from SD...

I failed to capture all the great times we had in SD, and they were plentiful.  Here are a few things that were captured however...

Again, there wasn't pictures of all the amazing meals, laughs shared, movies viewed, shopping had, and more, but all of those are memories made and cherished.  And with that... Christmas 2023 is a wrap!

Christmas 2023...

Spending the holidays in SD is always good for the soul, and this year was no exception.  I apparently must have lived in the moment this season, as I have far less photographs of everyone than I have in years past.  That doesn't take away from the fact that memories were made, laughter was had, and good times were plentiful.

Christmas Eve was spent at Nana and Papa's house.  We had amazingly delicious food and the girls were spoiled beyond measure in gifts that they received.  

Christmas Day was an early morning, as Santa came to visit and we had a house full of excited children.  The cousins were kind enough to snap a picture before they tore into their stockings.  

All of the children were showered with wonderful gifts from family and from Santa.

Sullivan got a special (hard to find) sweatshirt from Santa that she was dying to have....

Quinn got a fancy hair straightener from Santa...

The day was filled with snow, a chill in the air, and no where to go.  We lazed around in our pjs, played with new toys, did puzzles, ate amazing food, grazed on goodies, watched some football, and soaked up time with one another.  

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were absolutely perfect!

A Big Celebration...

A trip to SD for Christmas was all we had hoped for and more.  While there for Christmas, we also had another BIG event to celebrate.  Grandma Jane turned the big 7-0!  

To celebrate, we all (mine the little ones) took Grandma Jane out for dinner.  

I am sad that we got no group photo of us at dinner, but we did have a nice time and enjoyed celebrating Grandmas Jane.  

After dinner, we hung out with the birthday girl and she opened some presents...

The grandkids helped Grandma solve a puzzle that revealed her present that she is going to Washington DC with Meredith and I.

We were so stuffed that evening from our delicious meal, that no one had room for cake.  Plus the little girls had already gone to bed and we wanted them to help celebrate.  So Grandma Jane decided to delay cake for a day.  

The following day... 70 years, 1 day old.
