Ready, Set... Drive!

On Black Friday this past year, my sister and I took to the stores in search of some good bargains.  One thing Meredith was looking for was some motorized cars for the boys.  We came across a door buster deal at Target and Meredith snagged two Power Wheels styled cars.  They were a good deal and super cute. 

We loaded both of them in my car, which took up a lot of room.  That didn't deter us from our quest for more deals.  Off we went to another store, where we found another deal on a dune buggy style Power Wheels car.  This one was quite a bit bigger than the others we had gotten before, but Meredith was certain the kids would like it and wanted to get it.  

We had some dialog back in forth in the store about getting it and if we did get it, how we were going to get it home.  Meredith was certain it would fit in my car with the other motorized cars.  I, was a little more unsure.  But in the end, we bought it and were determined to fit it in.  Needless to say we wriggled and tugged and attempted to squeeze that car into my trunk.  No. such. luck!  We relented and called Matt to come with the van to pick it up.  

I laugh now every time the kids play on those cars.  It brings back all the memories of trying so hard to get that stinkin' car into my car.  The boys (and my girls) LOVE those cars.  Many a nights and afternoons have been spent driving them up and down the driveway and around the house.  

A few fights and a few tears have been shed over whose turn it was to drive the cars, but the incredible memories and joy outshine those sad times by far.  

Who knew those great bargains would bring so much fun?!
