Christmas Eve...

So many fond memories of this Christmas to share - even more amazing pictures!  Here are some of the highlights from Christmas Eve 2016...

The morning started with Grandma Jane making reindeer food with the grandchildren.  They were all pretty excited to jump in and make some food for the reindeer.  The troops were a like a revolving door - some had more of an attention span for the task than others.  Nonetheless, fun was surely had!

I love how they love each other...

After making the reindeer food, we gathered the troops for the annual Christmas pajama picture.  Grandma Jane is always so sweet to get the cousins matching pajamas - and she surely didn't fail this year.

Grandmas Jane with all the grandkids...

Mer and Matt have three other children living with them temporarily.  They were able to spend Christmas with us and share in our wacky and ever so amazing Christmas traditions.

We headed over to the Pooleys in the afternoon, where we took in Christmas Eve service with them.

We tried a brand new church this year and I would love to have said that the service itself was powerful and great meaning was taken from the pastor's message.  However, the biggest takeaway that I got from the pastor's message this year is that a group of fundamentalists from Indiana ruined his trip to Jerusalem when he visited several years back.  Those darn people from Indiana. 😏  Oh well, even if the message wasn't powerful, the fellowship of the amazing family that I love all but made up for it!

After church, we headed home for amazing food, game playing, and of course, present unwrapping.

The girls were blessed with far too many amazing gifts...

Quinn and Sullivan were checking out the ecospheres (filled with tiny lobster) that Uncle Eric and Auntie Kristen got them...

Christmas Eve with the Pooleys was more than wonderful - an amazing end to an amazing day!

When we got back to the Kempers, we had to quickly get the cookies ready for Santa and his crew.  Surprisingly, Quinn didn't want anything to do with this this year.  But Sullivan was more than happy to take the reins and get things done!

Then it was off to bed so Santa could come!
