We rung in the new year with our neighbors - sharing good food, great friendship, and a whole lot of laughter.
The kids have made a tradition out of playing charades every New Year... which means it has become a tradition of the parents too. After all, we are the guessers and it is pretty hard to play charades without the guessers!
This year the kids upped the ante. They forced the parents to switch roles and act out the words. It was pretty fun to watch the dads, but in the end, the moms kicked butt! Wahoo!
At midnight, we were all awake and a witness to the ball dropping. We celebrated and cheered and watched the crazy people in Times Square. As the kids said... we watched the Cooties Cam, as nearly everyone they showed on TV was kissing! Heaven forbid.
As we ring in 2019, we are grateful for our good health, our wonderful blessings, our amazing family and unbelievable friendships. We count ourselves blessed to have so many great people in our lives, like the Powells.
Here's hoping that 2019 is the best year yet for everyone!
