The First of a Few...

A couple of weeks ago, we toured our first college campus with Sullivan.  We made our way down to Wilmington to visit UNCW.

Sullivan's dear friend, Fabi, and her family joined us.  It was a beautiful campus and both girls were equally impressed with what it had to offer.

It is the first of a handful we will tour, but the first one left a lasting impression.  Time will tell if this one is the one!

Take Your Daughter to Work....

Quinn started her first day of her internship on Monday at Pfizer....

She will be interning all summer long in the Tech Ops department, not with or for Ryan, but within his department.  She is excited for this amazing opportunity to see first hand how a pharmaceutical manufacturing site operates.

So instead of the traditional "Take Your Daughter to Work Day", it's apparently "Take Your Daughter to Work Summer"...

It should be a great summer of learning and growth for Quinn!

Mother's Day 2026...

Mother's Day more than met my expectations.  It was a low key day, but a day spent together, and that's all that I could hope for and more!

I was spoiled by the family with all sorts of sweet things - oatmeal raisin cookies, banana pudding, flowers, and tulip Legos.  We watched movies, did Legos, went out for frozen yogurt and I didn't have to cook dinner at night.

My finished Lego project... aren't they beautiful?!  I couldn't stop talking about them.

A Mother's Day shoutout on Insta...

Who could ask for anything more?!  The day was absolutely perfect and I am forever blessed that I have the title as 'mom' to two of the most amazing girls!

Puppy Celebration...

Quinn and Sullivan celebrated their birthdays with their friends in the most adorable way possible.... partaking in yoga while surrounded by puppies.  Doesn't that sound like a dream?!

They invited a few friends to do Puppies & Yoga with them.  A group of adorable Bernadoodles frolicked about while they did yoga and then the girls got all the snuggles and love from the puppies afterwards.

They had an amazing time and enjoyed the company of their friends and puppies - a definite must do again!

They had an amazing time and enjoyed the company of their friends and puppies - a definite must do again!  I mean... who wouldn't fall in love with something so cute?!

Sullivan's friends came over for a very impromptu birthday treat afterwards...

While Quinn celebrated with pizza with her friends...

A great way to celebrate birthday 20 and birthday 17 for our sweet ladies!

Cayman - Part 2

Our adventures in Cayman Island continued with a drive around the island. It was a long day, but one filled with lots of stops and lots of great things to see.

Our first stop was at Pedro St James House.  It is the oldest standing stone structure on Cayman Islands and was built in 1780.

It once was a cotton plantation, then a millionaire's project to revive it, and now a historical site that the Cayman government have put millions into to renovate and bring it back to life.

We had a private tour and learned a lot about this site and its history.  Definitely a lot of history in this cute little house.

Next, we stopped off for some eats and drinks at the island's only brewery.  Good food, great beer, and even better company.

We ran across this building in the Caymans by accident.  We think maybe Papa has a side gig going on in the Cayman Islands that he hasn't told us about.  His secret is out!

We visited the Botanical Gardens which housed some incredibly beautiful orchids and other magnificent flowers and plants.

Our last stop on the island tour was at some blow holes.  It is so cool to see these formations and it's amazing to think how they are formed by Mother Nature's force.

Ryan and Sullivan have a tradition on vacation that started a couple years back.  They attempt to get ice cream every night as a little sweet treat.  Ice cream proved to be a bit harder to find than we thought it would be on Cayman, but we made it work.

We forgot to get a picture one night when we stopped at Wendy's for a Frosty.  So I took to AI to create a picture for us.  It's not perfect - especially the Frosty itself, but you get the gist.

We had an amazing time in Cayman Islands.  It was food for the soul to relax and enjoy some quiet moments with each other.  Some of the best times were simply spent on the beach - taking short walks, having deep (and not so deep) conversations, and just hanging out.

Grand Cayman... thank you for the memories!
